Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) extends unemployment benefits to workers in the state of Kansas affected by COVID-19 who may not typically be eligible.

See if You Are Eligible

Eligible workers include the self-employed, independent contractors, gig workers such as Uber and Lyft drivers, and employees of religious organizations. Eligibility for PUA extends from February 2, 2020 to December 26, 2020. Calculations for benefits are based on work history during 2019. In addition to calculated benefits, approved applicants are eligible for Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation with additional weekly payments of $600 available between March 29, 2020 and July 25, 2020.
