This month, we’re featuring Cesar Pena, President of S & S Rock Crushing, Inc. Cesar became president of S & S in 2014 after being an educator and high school principal for 18 years.

He credits the success of the business to the support he receives from family, friends, and role models. But as a former educator, he brings his experience guiding and mentoring youth to develop and prepare his employees for successful careers.

“I believe in teaching my employees the importance of showing up on time, being ready and prepared for the work day, and building good communication and team skills so they can work well together.”

Cesar lives in Sublette, Kansas with his wife and son. When he isn’t working, he is camping, riding ATVs, attending football games, and spending time with his family. Cesar was born in Chihuahua, Mexico and his parents were strong advocates of education. Cesar graduated from West Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Arts degree and earned a Master’s degree from Fort Hays State University. In 2016, Cesar earned the Kansas Minority-Owned Business of the Year award.
