Greetings Kansas DBEs,

I can’t believe it’s almost back to school season.

This month, I want to highlight the business building educational opportunity available to Kansas DBEs that begins on Thursday, August 15. The 7-week program has been developed and grant funded by the US DOT Small Business Transportation Resource Center which means there is NO cost to you as a registered DBE. Participants will:

  • Explore the fundamentals of project estimation
  • Learn key principles for managing business growth
  • Establish professional networks with other businesses and prime contractors
  • Understand key concepts for bidding and obtaining contracts with the Kansas Department of Transportation
  • Learn how to obtain or increase bonding capacity

I highly encourage you all to take advantage of this opportunity. The first 6 weeks are virtual and will be on Zoom. The last session will be in person, location TBD.

Please reach out if there are any questions about this opportunity! The deadline to register is Thursday, August 8. Register here.
