Greetings,

Hope you and your families are well and enjoying this spooky season!

I want to draw your attention to the email we sent last week about the Advanced Leadership Certification that begins Thursday, November 9th! The deadline to enroll is Thursday, November 2nd. This series of sessions will be an eye-opening look into how everyone’s past experiences play a part in how they react to challenges and situations in the present, including at work.

The class will also give us a chance to get together for the final, in-person celebration on Friday, February 2nd! (The venue is still being organized but will likely be in Wichita/Newton area.)

Please let me know if you have any questions about this certification. And make sure you take a peek below at some interesting news items and tax deadlines in November!

Maria Davidson Builds Kojo To Make Construction More Efficient

The construction industry is one of the largest and least efficient industries. Global construction spending was estimated at $14 trillion in 2022, accounting for 14.2% of the global GDP, according to the Business Research Company’s Global Market Model. Yet the industry’s productivity has trailed that of other sectors for decades, according to McKinsey.

One Moscow-born, Israeli immigrant, Maria Davidson, now a US Citizen, along with her co-founder Ryan Gibson decided to do something about construction inefficiency with the founding of the all-in-one construction procurement platform Kojo in 2018. This founder’s journey is based on my interview with Davidson. Read it here.
